Almost all of these are wonderful and I strongly encourage you to read it. Obviously some are self-contradicting – too bad. In the vein of Should You Reverse Any Advice You Hear? I suspect some will stand out to you more than others, and some you’ll want to ignore completely. So it goes.
Declare bankruptcy on bullshit— faux emergencies, manufactured glitter, family and relationship drama, pointless errands, gossip, events you can't control, approval of strangers… My god, what an exhausting waste of time! Let it all go.
There will be times when you will have to be ruthless. When those times come, do not flinch. Do what must be done.
(When you run a company you find there are more of these than you might have expected.)
Do more. Don't wake up one day thinking you haven't done all you could.
The one that really sang to me:
Addiction, abuse, depression and violence erode your humanity. Extricate yourself from these situations without mercy. Be strong. Do not permit anyone to harm you.
